Information about the employee can be readily available via function modules, here's a listing of some of the more commonly used function modules for retrieving employee information: 

• RP_GET_HIRE_DATE - returns the date the employee was hired
• RP_GET_FIRE_DATE, HR_LEAVING_DATE, HR_ENTRY_DATE and RP_HIRE_FIRE - more of the same, hiring and firing
• HR_JUBILEE and HR_SENIORITY - jubilee dates for the employee
• RP_GET_PERNR_FROM_USERID - assuming the SAP user is actually working for the company - find his/her employee number
